Eye injuries, infections and other urgencies can occur at any time. Our office is equipped to handle most eye emergencies such as:
Eye infections such as “pink eye”
Foreign materials stuck in the eyes
Eye trauma
Scratched eyes
Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes
Lost or broken contact lenses or eyeglasses
Flashes of light in the vision
“Floaters” in the vision
Red or painful eyes
Dislodged contact lenses
Uncomfortable, itchy, or irritated eyes

Everyone has, at one point or another, scratched their eye subconsciously due to the feeling of irritation around the area. Most of the time, people get lucky and nothing major really happens but for others, this may result to an eye injury called a corneal abrasion.

PINK EYE - WHAT IS CONJUNCTIVITIS?
The medical term conjunctivitis literally means “inflammation of the conjunctiva.” Known more commonly as “pink eye”, it is synonymous with sore eyes. It is considered to be the most common form of eye condition for all age groups, and oftentimes when it occurs it is only a mild infection.
